Funding Feminism

As a doctoral candidate, my research attempts to better understand the experiences of women working in Student Affairs, to understand what feminism means to them, and its’ impact on their work.  I will be utilizing narrative inquiry,  which is a research method that seeks to tell a story. I would like to conduct my interviews in person, so that I can build rapport with my participants and give voice to their stories.  My participants are located in five states throughout the country, which means I will be doing a lot of traveling over the next month.  This critical work will contribute to the profession of higher education, and most importantly, our students and campuses.

This is where I need your help! At this point, all of my travel is self-funded, and my costs are estimated to be $5,000 for transportation and lodging.  I am also gratefully accepting donations for rental car points, and hotel points.   I’m reaching out to friends, family, and colleagues for help  to move forward with my research agenda - any support you can provide is much appreciated.

My commitment to you:

1)   I will personally name and thank every kind benefactor in my study.

2)   I will follow up with each of you letting you know when I will finish.

3)   I will send you a PDF of the research when it’s completed.

Want to know more about my research?  If so, I will send you a link of a recent talk that shares some of the facets of my upcoming study.

Your support means the world to me.
