Sonosite for Dr Chi in Djibouti!

As many of you know, Dr Albert Chi has been deployed for 9-months to Djibouti, Africa with the United States Navy. His service and dedication to helping others has been a strong thread woven throughout all that he does. He loves his country and is proud to serve as a surgeon and representative of the United States Navy.  In addition to serving as the Director of Surgical Services at the Naval Expeditionary Base Camp Lemonnier, Dr Chi's work in Djibouti has a large humanitarian component.  He is working directly to care for the Djiboutin people at Peltier General Hospital.  The hospital has extremely limited resources and sparse funding.   Dr Chi heartily believes access to a high quality ultrasound machine like the ones made by SonoSite could effect truly life saving changes to the care of the Djiboutian people.  

Dr Aliaksei Pustavoitau has a well established working relationship with SonoSite and was able to arrange the purchase of an ultrasound for Dr Chi to be able to use at Peltier General Hospital at a significantly reduced cost.  Dr Chi plans to train the local physicians on the SonoSite and donate it to them so they can continue to benefit from this life saving technology long after his departure.   

We are asking you all to help us achieve Dr Chi's goal of providing the local Djiboutian hospital with the SonoSite by offsetting the costs of obtaining the ultrasound and ensuring its safe arrival. If we can meet the monetary goal of $1,500  we can achieve the humanitarian goal of Dr Chi's work which simply cannot be quantified. Any and all additional proceeds left after the purchase of the ultrasound will be donated to Peltier General Hospital. Thank you!
