Douglas Husbands Funeral and Family Expenses

Donation protected

It is with a heavy heart and much sorrow that I inform you that our dear friend, husband, and father, Douglas Husbands has passed away on December 14th, 2020.

He peacefully passed away at home, after dealing with this rare and aggressive cancer for just 4  1/2 months.  His doctor thought that he could survive for at least a year. He and his wife, Rosette, thought that he had a chance to live longer and be among the small percentage of patients that survive this cancer because of his vast knowledge and experience supporting cancer patients that choose the integrative or alternative approach. However, he had got an infection following a surgical procedure and was not able to recover from it. The infection and the side effects of the strong antibiotics had weakened him and after spending nearly 2 weeks in the hospital, he was sent home under hospice care. All the cancer treatments and inability for him to work during treatments depleted much of the family's savings.

And although his lively presence and optimistic spirit is no longer with us, we can rest in the fact that he is in the presence of his Savior, rejoicing and pain-free!  Doug was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and an excellent husband, father, and chiropractor. He always put God and his family first, and he was devoted to helping the patients recover from health problems using natural methods. Some of his patients have shared that he saved their lives.

Shortly after his passing, Rosette found him looking like he was just asleep and with a smile on his face. This gave her comfort knowing that he is in a better place and is no longer suffering.

Doug is survived by his wife, Rosette and his teenage daughter, his mother and two sisters.

Rosette is working on closing down Douglas' business while bills are coming in from the funeral costs and medical/health expenses not covered by their health plan.

They would benefit from your contributions to help them get through this difficult time. We are looking to raise as much money as possible to be able to present to the family in the coming days. Will you consider helping his family?  Any extra funds will be saved for his daughter's Kristiana's college fund.

We would appreciate anything you can give - no donation is too small.

Thank you very much in advance!

Rosette would like to thank everyone who already sent them money and other gifts, and cards.
