Help Chloe After Accident with Uninsured Driver

Donation protected
On June 4, 2020 Chloe Sihler 19 of Venice Florida, daughter of Lisa Sihler and my boyfriend Robert Sihler, was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Critical Condition and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after a serious automobile accident.  She was the front passenger of a friends “uninsured” Chevrolet Camaro traveling on Route 41 in North Port.  The driver lost control of the vehicle on a damp roadway, slid into the grass median then struck a utility vehicle, being operated by an employee of Reynolds Mowing, on the passenger side of the car.

Chloe sustained numerous injuries, including a fractured pelvis, jaw, and cheekbone, head trauma, bruised lungs causing her to be placed on a ventilator, and a serious laceration to the right side of her face, which will require expensive plastic surgeries.

On the day I met Chloe 9 years ago, I knew instantly she possessed a very special and unique quality I haven’t seen in many people, and if you know her personally you know exactly what I mean. She always understood that success in life takes work and dedication.  Besides being an extremely hardworking person who goes above and beyond what is required of her, Chloe is very caring and considerate of others, possesses a fun-loving spirit, a very big heart, and is exceptionally beautiful both inside and out.

She began working at the age of 15 and, while commuting to Clearwater to attend school at the Aveda Institute, she simultaneously worked at both Hungry Howie’s and Firehouse Subs.  In February, she proudly graduated with the highest GPA average in her class from the Aveda Institute.  She was so excited and couldn’t wait to start her new dream career as a licensed Esthetician.

Due to the Coronavirus, she had to postpone that dream for months, but continued to work at both Hungry Howie’s and Firehouse Subs.  In mid-May, she was finally able to begin her career at the MassageLuXe spa in Sarasota where she serviced her first paying clients and was happier than I’ve ever seen her.

Around the same time, she changed jobs and also began working at Wawa in Venice where she was already being considered for a management position.  It’s obvious they quickly recognized her strong work ethic and the same unique quality that I did.

Although she is not my child, to me Chloe is both the daughter and little sister I never had.  She is one of the warmest, most grateful, loving, and dedicated young women I’ve ever met and we are extremely fortunate that she is still in our lives after such a serious accident.

Unfortunately due to the negligence and lack of responsibility of someone else, Chloe has not only been physically injured, but will suffer emotionally and financially as well.  It is unknown when she will be able to return to work and, in addition to accumulating medical bills and future legal expenses, she is currently trying to pay back her student loan from the Aveda Institute.

Chloe, her parents, family, and I would be extremely thankful to anyone fortunate enough to know and love her, or with a big heart that respects such an extraordinary young women, to donate any amount of money to help cover her current and future medical bills, surgeries, and legal expenses she will incur due to the “uninsured” driver.
