Leslie, known to many as the creative force behind ColourArte for over 30 years, has dedicated her heart and soul to designing unique art products that inspire creativity in others.

Now, she finds herself in a challenging situation and urgently needs our support. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Leslie is being forced to vacate her home in just a few weeks.

Five years ago, she was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a rare disease that makes her extremely vulnerable—where even a simple cold can be fatal.

**Urgent Support Needed for Leslie Ohnstad**

In September 2024, Leslie signed a 12-month lease that was set to renew on September 13, 2025. Despite her consistent, timely rent payments, she was unexpectedly served with a 30-day notice to vacate on August 1, 2025—six weeks before her lease was due to expire. This has left her extremely destabilized and uncertain about her future.

At 72 Leslie has no living blood relatives to help and despite recent hardships has made the courageous decision to move out of California. Leslie will be rehoming herself to Indiana to be near her adopted family that can aid her as she gets on in age. She faces significant health challenges, including spinal and cervical stenosis, agoraphobia, and sarcoidosis. These conditions make it extremely difficult for her to leave her home and interact with others, putting her safety at risk.

By establishing a stable foundation, Leslie has the opportunity not only to rebuild her life but also to pursue her vision of teaching. This new chapter will bring her closer to loyal friends and adopted family who can provide much-needed support physically, emotionally, and creativity.

She is working on a book series based on art theory in simple easy to understand terms, art therapy, the science of color mixing with pigments. As well as well as making the world a more colorful place through ColourArte.
