Good Day Everyone!

Just taking a breath of fresh air for a moment and reflecting on the many lives Colleen and I have touched or been touched by, always by the guiding of Ruach Ha Kodesh or Holy Spirit who had a plan for us before the beginning of time. You know what that was for you, or if you don't yet, seek Him as He is only a moment away from you, and He desires to meet with you daily.

As for me, things are going relatively smoothly in our lives. I have a wonderful job, Colleen and I have traveled for the Gideons and shared my testimony in different states and venues. We have attended international conventions with the Gideons International, and had the honor to get to know wonderful people from all over the world. We were extremely pleased to have visited Israel with our brothers and sisters from Kenya who are now living in Canada. I am blessed to work among some beautiful Bible believing people in Member Care for the Gideons International, and we found our worship home at Mosaic Life Fellowship in Goodlettesville, TN. I would change nothing. Colleen and I are truly blessed.

As most of you know, I had been troubled with discomfort in my neck and throat since my surgery on the 28th of August 2023, which the doctors called a violent procedure. This summer I was diagnosed with Stage 3 tongue and lymph node cancer which, by-the-way, was not in any way related to the surgery last year. It was just a terrible coincidence after all. I also have a small spot in the right lung that doctors have chosen to just watch for now as they aggressively treat the throat and lymph nodes with 35 treatments of radiation, 20 left until treatment stops-- and chemotherapy-- 2 more treatments until the end of my treatment.

Then we rest... take a Shalom...Peace... for a time and pray to "the Lord who heals", Adonai Rophe, to please touch me with His healing touch, and totally restore what is the result of living in a fractured creation, a fallen world. I will accept whatever He does in my life and to my body...HE IS GOD! HE IS MY GOD!

We wanted to give you some sort of update at nearly the halfway point through the treatments. The radiation is taking its toll---constant sore throat, and difficulty swallowing food and even water. Tired ALL the time, and sleep is not quality sleep. That was not me at all. Because I am having difficulty eating I have at least 7 meals infused via a feeding tube daily along with all my meds because they are difficult to swallow as well. All this so I don't lose any weight. The mask they made for the radiation treatment was made to fit over my head and shoulders and needs to remain snug throughout these seven weeks.

During this time we have met numerous Believers in the medical profession. Though this journey is not anything we would "wish" on anybody, we truly appreciate the professional knowledge and kind encouragement of the Family of our Precious Lord. I may be nodding off at odd times during the day, but Colleen and I remain quite joyful and our spirits are high.

Fall is our favorite time of year. As the temperature promises to drop a bit, and the colors on the trees change, we see beauty all round us and remain grateful that we have family, friends, and hope in His promises.

We have been asked to provide the link to the original Go Fund Me page and in fact the timing couldn't be better. I just started with the company's Short Term Disability program which is only 90 days. After the first 8 days of no pay passes, I will be on 60% of my salary for 90 days, plus I will have to pay taxes on the income. I had been falling asleep at the desk and ultimately had been off work more than on.

We truly appreciate all your prayers because our Father in Heaven hears them all and is moved by them.
