Donald Seither's Recovery Fund

Dear Family and Friends,

On Saturday August 25th, Don was involved in a severe boating accident in the Indian River Lagoon. Don’s legs were struck by the propeller of the boat several times. Don suffered unimaginable injuries including a badly broken tibia and deep lacerations from his hips down. Through the efforts of many brave individuals, Don was brought to the nearest dock in tourniquets and airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. He arrived in critical condition and immediately underwent surgery to save his life. As of today, August 30th Don is still in the TICU. He has had three surgeries so far and will have many more to prevent infection and repair his tibia. It is a miracle Don is with us today. For those who know Don, they know that he is an incredible person with a heart of gold. He is well-loved by all for his positive, optimistic demeanor, his passion for Jiu Jitsu, and his loving compassion towards his family and friends.

In the hospital, Don is surrounded by the support of his family, his girlfriend, his friends, and the incredible doctors and nurses helping him recover. Although his road to recovery and walking again is long, Don remains optimistic and strong. We are all grateful he is still with us today. We give all the glory to God for Don defying the odds of this tragedy.

Please help Don as his medical bills quickly add up. Your donations will go towards Don’s medical bills as he has more upcoming surgeries and rehabilitation to learn to walk again. It will allow his family to spend their time focusing on being with Don at the hospital where he needs them. Unfortunately, Don will be out of work for almost a year to recover depending on his progress.

Please keep Don in your prayers, as he continues his road to recovery.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
