Disabled Vet & Family Relief Fund
Donation protected
My name is Michael Balaban, and I am a 100% Service Connected disabled US Army OEF veteran living in Las Vegas. I live with my beloved VA Caregiver wife Heather, our 6 year old granddaughter, and our 15 year old son. When I originally started this campaign, I did so to defray the costs of an unexpected move and medical crisis that occurred simultaneously. My network of friends stepped up like I never believed possible, and brought us through that dark time. Well, life on a paltry VA disability, even with the support of friends and family, has left us with high-interest payday and installment loans that are burying us every continuing month. The hit we took, although partially defrayed by the love and support of those that could, still has left us on a financial downward spiral that still needs assisistance beyond what we can gather. With that, I post any valuables we have left on Craigslist (including my beloved car), and return to the crowdfunding forum to rectify the shortfalls unsolvable on the permanently limited income our family lives upon.
There are many large charities to donate to, with multi-millionaire execs (WWP), but this campaign goes directly to the family of a 180% service connected disabled Vet, unable to work my way out of this financial crisis.
We need your help. To get through these holidays and see the new year on even terms, It will take the generosity of strangers, as my personal network is tapped, and showed like champions already.
Please forgive the intrusive nature of my Twitter pandering, but I have no other options, or my conscience (which believes in ethic, not charity) wouldn't allow such begging.
Please, on behalf of a Veteran who gave almost all, help my family make it through the holidays, by donating or sharing this campaign, and sharing frequently.
And to the celebrity folk I tag, I apologize for disturbing your world, and please don't have me banned from Twitter. I am just trying to get by...
On behalf of the whole Balaban family, I ask you to find it in your heart, your favor, your wallet, or your sofa cushions to assist our family in this most desperate of times. A V.A. disability is just not enough right now...
We cannot offer any return besides Karma and our eternal gratitude, but this is your opportunity to assist a Disabled Vet and Family directly, with a specific need. Only 20% to 60% of donations to #Veterans charities actually make it to veterans, but this way you can be sure that 100% will directly assist not only a disabled vet, but my caregiver wife, and our family.
Thank you so much for your assistance, and may G-d bless you.
