Digitize the Jewish Ledger, 1994-2020

Last year, due to the generosity of donors through the Rochester Area Community Foundation Historic Preservation grant, we were able to digitize what at the time was all known copies of Jewish Tidings, the 19th-century Rochester Jewish newspaper, and the Jewish Ledger 1924-1993. These are now available for free through the New York State Historic Newspapers project in searchable PDFs. They're amazing!!

We remained committed to finding copies of the paper 1994-2020, and I am thrilled to say that we have! They exist in hard copy only, uncatalogued, at the Rochester Central Library. Unfortunately we weren't able to secure grant funding for this second round, but we remain committed to the project - to ensure that all Jewish Rochester newspapers are preserved and accessible for all, forever.
