This page is specifically created to help my dear friend Diane in her treatment to kick cancers butt! This girl exudes inspiration and shows a testimony of the ability of God everyday. Even when she's tired, she smiles and says "it's going to be ok!" As many of you know she is undergoing a new treatment that the insurance may deny and I know one person cannot make it all happen. Her parents are doing all they can, but any little bit that is donated would help! I believe that together we are much stronger than by ourselves. I would like to shoot for 5k-10k to help at least if possible so anything given is a blessing....the little blurb below is a little about this girl to show you her shine!!
My name is Diane, or you can call me Toytle. I’m obsessed with turtles, specifically ninja turtles. I love eating cookies, I also have a weird obsession with poop. Oh, and I was diagnosed with Leukemia in Jan 2012. Two years later… I’m still here putting forth an honest effort to cowabunga cancer to the curb. It has been quite the roller coaster, I’m sure we can ALL relate- cancer or not. However, I’ve chosen to let cancer FREE me. I’ve come to learn how to embrace my situation and not let it confine me. Yes, as with anybody going through the “C” word- we all have our poopy days- the chemotherapy, the radiation, the constant doctor appointments, the nausea, the achy body feeling, the general fatigue, the I can’t poop but then massive diarrhea follows, but heck even when we get the common cold or flu- or we just have poopy days, I believe we’ve all encountered the feeling of being poopy, some feelings are more severe than others- but nonetheless we can all relate right? The days where we don’t want to get out bed, the days we have diarrhea, the days where frowning seems like a better option than smiling. What I want to do, is to be able to spread smiles to everyone that I come across- even if it is just a grin- but seeing smiles and others happy, brings pure bliss to my life! Trials and tribulations can only make us a stronger individuals- only if we CHOOSE to let it make us stronger. We can all make a difference, shine some light in one another’s life, encourage each other to love one another, laugh until we fart, and most importantly embrace the beautiful moments that are constantly surrounding us. I’ve learned to take the First letter of “C”ancer and replace the following words with be Courageous, be Cowabunga, and be Caring. With any negative situation, there is always light shining somewhere- we just have to dig a bit deeper to find it. Let YOU, define yourself!
