Devon Thomas, our beloved teammate and friend, has tragically passed away at the young age of 46.  After spending each Saturday together for many years, our soccer team is at a loss. 

Devon  would show up for his teammates, both on and off the pitch.  He would give sincere hugs, handshakes, and a grin to each of his teammates before and after the game.  He was known to joyously engage in post-game analysis of the triumphs and mistakes on the pitch.  Devon was a devoted father and husband, who constantly shared tidbits about his daughter and wife with us fellow footballers.  He was a genuine friend.

Dev's home country is Jamaica, where he would return each year to visit.  He would often collect soccer equipment to distribute among the aspiring players.  His wife and daughter plan to take Devon home so he may rest in peace in his native soil.  

We understand that this is costly, and that this tragedy was unexpected.  As Devon's soccer community, we would like to raise as much money as possible so that his family can focus on honoring his memory.
