Those who know me know that art has been a part of my life for a long time.  Spending my life exploring my creativity is a dream I’ve had and I plan to pursue an art education after high school. That is why I couldn’t be more excited to announce that I have been given an amazing opportunity to attend The University of the Arts (UArts) Pre-College Summer Institute  in Philadelphia this summer.  At UArts I will be part of the nation’s most dynamic and intensive summer arts program for high school students.

During this program I'll be immersed in art from the inside out. I will attend gallery shows, lectures, master classes and museum exhibitions in one of the oldest, largest and most artistically innovative cities in the country.  For four weeks I will dive deep into the various mediums that I am passionate about, while learning to express myself through new processes.  In the end I will not only walk away with a stronger portfolio, new friends, and three college credits, but most importantly with an increased confidence as an artist!I hope to learn so much more than what i know now. I want to see a new future as an artist. 

Now is the time to let my creativity take me as far as I can go.  To do this I’m seeking help to raise the funds I need to accept this opportunity of a lifetime.   A donation of any amount would help me achieve my goal.
