Descended is a mystery/drama series centered around a small town in British Columbia. Carmine - a serene town on the coast - has a legend that it was founded by a cult which visited there to practice sorcery. From this grew a community based on magic and unity. After a dark turn in their history, no magic is seen in the town for decades and people slowly start to forget and dismiss these truths as myth. Our story starts when Jane and her family move to Carmine, and Jane always intruiged by mystery and being a young filmmaker, sets out to make a documentary. Through this process her and a group of town kids uncover more than they ever wanted. At the core this show it is about having something to believe in, the pain of growing up and forging an identity.
