On April 25th Derrick died of complications from Myasthenia Gravis. In that time the despair, heartache and anguish were almost more than he nor his family could bear.

It took an emotional , mental and physical toll on him. Derrick felt judged, misunderstood and isolated by others.

The cross represented human suffering but love, compassion and salvation for all. In his darkest hours it gave him comfort and strength.

Derrick's life has to have meaning. The Healing Cross Project has been created in his name to spread love, compassion, and understanding to anyone who is suffering.

The project will be funded with donations from you. Each cross will come with a message of hope for all. They will be distributed in our communities, anywhere and everywhere. No one will ever pay for the hope each cross can offer.

A website called the Healing Cross Project is being designed. The mission is to end the agony of human suffering 1 cross at a time.
