Stand by Derek: Overcoming Osteomyelitis

Hi Everyone,

My name is Sharon Dunbar, and I’m fundraising for my brother, Derek, who was recently hospitalized after suddenly not being able to walk and being in excruciating pain for his first 5 days hospitalized. He has contracted Osteomyelitis, a serious blood infection that has gone into his bones. He also has developed blood clots in his lungs, and we are waiting to see what can be done to relieve him of the excruciating pain he is still having.

He is now fighting for his life and we want him transferred to Boston.

I know he is one of the hardest (and smartest) working people I’ve ever met, and if you know Derek, you know this of him. He will be out of work for months, and we are raising funds to help with his recovery.
