Dent de Lait Day care & Preschool needs rebuilding

-On the 4th of August 2020, an enormous explosion demolished our capital, Beirut. The impact was so strong that it destroyed a whole city, killed more than 200 people, injured more than 3,000 and left up to 300,000 homeless.
-Dent De Lait is located in Sodeco in the Achrafieh district and due to the blast it got severely damaged;
We were there at 7:15pm, an hour after the blast picking up pieces and debris of our day care and trying to fix the entrance doors to protect the location from theft.
Dent de Lait Eco Children’s Center is a beautiful, colourful facility in the vibrant Sodeco district of Achrafieh-Beirut.
Ours is the first of its kind in Lebanon – a child-centred learning space designed to educate children on the importance of environmental awareness and personal responsibility.
Dent De Lait opened its first branch in Kraytem-Beirut in 1997 and its Sodeco branch in 2017.
Hana and Lamice Joujou are the founders of Dent De Lait, making it a family business and leading the day care industry in Lebanon.
Our core value is focusing on teaching the next generation how to grow up with a proactive, caring and compassionate attitude towards the natural environment, with an exciting activity-based and highly interactive curriculums where the children of the future are led towards the right path of leading a life of environmental responsibility.

While our location is a work site, unable to open and receive children our team has been working restlessly on serving and supporting the community affected by the blast.
We have launched 3 campaigns:
Milk & Diapers for the children of Beirut.
Post Trauma counseling HOTLINE.
Bear Hug for the children (Bears and Toys distribution to affected children).
-As Beirut deals with the fallout of the blast, we seek your help and assistance in rebuilding our day care center and warehouse in the aftermath of the disastrous explosion;
Your support would help us stand back on our feet and continue our mission;
A mission we are loyal to for the last 23 years.
- The funds donated will be used to:
* Rebuild the daycare and the warehouse
* Provide for the Dent De Lait families who have been affected by the blast
* Support our Donation campaigns
No amount is too little, to make an impact.
