Hi everyone! So last month I had to get numerous x-rays for my back pain, start physical therapy and get a biopsy on mole. Unfortunately, my health insurance didn’t cover a large amount of these tests, about $500. I knew I was going to struggle to pay them, but things have been worse. Then things got worse. As most of you know, on October 2 I suffered a stroke due to a brain embolism, and thanks to the amazing team of Doctors and Nurses at the UC Davis Sacramento NICU, I survived. However, from the loss of pay to several recurring medical bills, I am officially underwater. It’s at the urging of my friends and loved ones that I am now reaching out to all of you. I know that many of you are struggling too. And it’s so important to me that no one feels pressured to give, especially when they would have to go without. I love you all so much and I can’t tell you how much your love means to me. It’s going to be a long road ahead, but I know that I have all of you, and I will never be alone on this journey to full recovery and prevention of another stroke in the future.
