My mom mom Dee Zeh has been waiting to have her back operated on for well over a year and a half. During this time she has been mostly bed ridden and in tremendous pain. Her surgery date finally arrived on September 30th.  Her doctor told her she would be able to go home that day, but that ended up not being the case at all. She has spent the last week in the hospital and will spend the next two weeks in a nursing home/rehab facility so that she can get her strength back. Her insurance has denied her claim for the nursing home and deemed her fit enough to go home despite the fact that she can barely walk or care for herself without assistance.  Her doctor fought with the insurance company because it would be in her best interest to be in a rehab facility but in the end they said they will not cover her stay. We have decided as a family to come together and pay for the rehab center for as many days as we can so that she can go home stronger than ever and get her life back. She has missed out on so much in the past year or so and is looking forward to living life again and hopefully it will be pain free. This is where we could use a little bit of help from our friends and family. The cost for 2 weeks in the rehab center is right around the $5k mark, I set our goal a little higher due to the fees for the campaign but every penny raised from this campaign will go towards Dee Zeh's medical costs.
