CSUN Thesis Project- Deceit

This is our ticket to graduation! We need YOUR help! :)

"The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team."
What is Deceit?
Deceit serves as a final thesis project at California State University, Northridge for the Television Production students.
It is the pilot to the next mystery series about following a detective overcome his alcoholism and past to save his career by solving the next big case. In the pilot alone, the theme unravels and becomes apparent that: You can't trust anybody.
Detective Anthony Wallace's career is on the line and by his side is his partner, Detective Andrea Shaw. They are assigned the next big case: identifying a mutilated body and finding out who was responsible for it.
What We Need
Our challenge is to create a portfolio quality 20 minute pilot episode as a Producer, Director, D.P., Editor, Production Designer, Sound Recordist/ Editor, and Writer. To do so, we need about $12,000- $15,000. We only have about 5 weeks to do so. I know this sounds like way too much money especially for a project, but in reality TV shows are far more expensive. Our school only provides us with so much. The rest is up to us.
The $12,000 will go to:
• Camera, Lighting, Grip Rentals
• Sound equipment
• Transportation, Gas
• Production Design & Locations
• Hair & Makeup
• Permits & Insurance
• Food for cast and crew
• Post production
• Music/ Score
Crew Members
In our crew of 12 we have:
• Viri Maldonado- Writer/ Executive Producer
• Brittany Marmo- Director
• Melissa Perez- Producer
• Alex Guardado- Producer
• Christopher Hernandez- Director of Photography
• Andrew Kwong- Director of Photography
• Jake Marada- Editor
• Ivan Vargas- Editor
• Jazmin Ortiz- Sound
