Hi everyone. We're trying to raise money to help Debra with expenses she will need. As many of you know, she is battling cancer called MDS.

But first, let me tell you about my mother-in-law. Not only is she one of the strongest woman I know, she is the kindest and sweetest. She has always been the person people go to for advice or help. She would be the first to be there if she knew someone needs help. Just ask anyone that knows her! 

So here's a little info on what she is dealing with. 

"Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are conditions that can occur when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow are damaged. This damage leads to low numbers of one or more type of blood cells. MDS is considered a type of cancer." www.cancers.org

Currently, Debra is undergoing chemotherapy lasting aobut 4 months. Right after, she will need to have a bone marrow transplant. As part of her treatment, she has to regularly meet with her doctor, collect blood samples and receive blood transfusion. 

Her treatment are held here in Tracy and also in Sacramento at UC Davis Cancer Center.

We know that it is crucial that she stays in Sacramento, close to the Cancer center for few weeks during her bone marrow transplant . Money will go towards gas for the car, but majority of the money will go to towards the hotel... and a little bit for a pedicure, because with or without cancer.... it's nice to have nice toes. :D
