Life Saving Cancer Treatment for Debbie Morrow

Donation protected
Aloha kākou,

Our Preschool team is trying to raise money to help our friend and mentor, Debbie Morrow, get life-saving cancer treatment. Debbie is an amazing mom of four beautiful children, Teacher of the Year nominee, child advocate, and a truly phenomenal teacher, friend, wife, daughter, and cancer survivor. Debbie gives 110% of herself all the time to her students, colleagues, friends, and anyone in her path.  Last year, at the height of Covid, her usual allergy cough worsened to an "asthma cough" and hung around for months. Due to Covid precautions, Deb was turned away from receiving medical care time and time again. Her symptoms of cough and difficulty breathing complicated matters even more. Then on Christmas Eve, she got the news. Metastatic breast cancer. Stage 4. It had come back with a vengeance and spread through the bloodstream to  her liver, lungs, and bones. It had taken over her entire left lung, much of her liver, her spine, hip, shoulder, and skull.

Since the diagnosis, it has been one medical roadblock after another before she could start any kind of treatment. With her compromised immune system, Debbie was there in her class every week, even visiting on the same day of her surgeries and chemo and usually back teaching within a couple days. She would show up to class before and after her chemo and other tests and appointments just to spread her aloha and ensure that everything was in place for her preschoolers. She is truly a walking miracle.
Unfortunately, though, treatment options here in Hawaii are not enough. The type of cancer is proving too aggressive to tame, and the cancer masses have tripled in size just over the past month.

Funding to help the Morrow family is urgent and needed ASAP.

Deb and her wonderful husband will be flying to City of Hope in search of guidance, expertise, a different opinion, any experimental treatments, anything. This is her last hope. The travel expenses, intake appointment, any tests or medical treatment will not be covered by insurance.  The Morrows will be leaving for CA this week praying for a miracle. Our goal is to raise enough money to make any cancer treatment accessible for Deb. Our prayer is that we, her family and friends, her 'ohana, can lessen the burden for the Morrow family so that they will never have to choose between financial constraint and a chance of life.

Please continue to pray for the Morrow family through this very difficult time. We welcome anything you can contribute, either financially, through prayer, words of encouragement, and/or passing this on to those who know and love her. We truly appreciate your support for Debbie and her family, and we stand with her in faith as she takes on the Fight of her Life.
