(Greater Dayton Rowing Association's top girls quad(above) will be competing at Youth Nationals in Sarasota June 12-14.  From Left to Right: Abby Hamilton, Megan Hinkle, Kayla Eads, Emilee Koenig)

For the first time in Dayton Rowing history, we are sending our first candidates to the United States Junior National Team Development and High Performance camps!  Emilee Koeing, Oakwood Sophomore, and Megan Hinkle, Troy Christian Sophomore. are both members of Greater Dayton Rowing Association's Youth team.
These camps start June 17th and are  3-4 weeks.  They give each young lady direct contact with the Nation's top coaches, equipment, and opportunities. They also include travel to compete in either Club Nationals or possibly Mexico City if they are selected.
If we do this right, it is possible that in near future they may be selected to compete on the National Team! From the group of about 70 girls at these camps, roughly 28 young ladies each year are selected to row and compete for the National Team!

Only the best are selected for this prestigious group of individuals and we are so proud to say that two, (TWO!) of them are from our club--for the first time EVER!  This sets them on the right track to compete as representatives of our country all around the world for the next several years!

But they can only do it with your support.

Both of their camps combined cost just under $9,000. but does not include airfare to get there and back.
We hope to gain the support they need to go to camp worry-free, knowing that their rowing family and community is here to cheer for them!

Congrats ladies!  Row fast, die last!
