I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of Claire, her family and partner Richard in loving memory of Dawn Williamson.

It has taken me a while to find the words, so I’m grateful to be able to share this here.

Dawn sadly passed away on 8th April 2026 after a brave battle with endometrial cancer that had spread to her lungs. She had previously fought and beaten cancer in 2023 and received the all clear in 2024 and her strength gave us hope that she would do the same again, but as time went on, her breathing became more and more difficult. Even through everything Dawn was facing, Dawn never lost her cheeky personality that was just who she was.

Dawn was the embodiment of “living life to the fullest.” She was loving and beautiful, with an infectious smile that could light up any room. One of her greatest qualities was her loyalty—she would have your back without hesitation and fight your corner no matter what.

Dawn truly loved life. Whether it was shopping trips, brunches, holidays and watching horror films, she made the most of every moment. She was more than happy to watch those films alone, but especially loved convincing Claire, Richard and close friends to join her, often just to enjoy their reactions.

This loss has hit deeply. Dawn was incredibly strong, but she wasn’t ready to leave us.

Dawn was a much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, partner, and a loyal friend. So many people loved her dearly.

Anyone who knew Dawn will know how inseparable Dawn and Claire were—you rarely heard one name without the other. They were truly the best duo. Hearing that Claire has lost her only sister makes this loss even more heartbreaking.

Instead of giving flowers, or you just want to support the family, I have set up this gofundme page on behalf of Claire, Richard, and the family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contributions will go towards funeral.
