UPDATE 9/19/16
I was not expecting to do an update so soon on my sister, but this kind of update is beyond belief. As of 5:02 this Monday evening, Dawn received a call from her surgeon (1 week early) who told her, "Dawn your biopsy is clear, your cancer free." Everyone is ecstatic, Dawn is still in a lot of pain from surgery last week, but knowing she is now cancer free, her shoulders just got a lot lighter. The surgeon told Dawn that she will need one more surgery and they will set that date next Tuesday. Dawn knows there is still a long road to follow for her recovery but there will be a good ending for this family in Westminster, MD.
I would like to continue this campaign for my sister Dawn so she can have a little relief in knowing that she will be able to continue paying for her insurance and bills while not being able to work. I would like to thank everyone for there donations and prayers, without all of you things would be a lot harder.
My name is Michelle and I am one of Dawn's older sisters, On March 23, 2016, my baby sister Dawn found out that she would be battling cancer. She has had a lot of family and friends supporting her through this battle. Dawn has had 6 surgeries and all the chemo and radiation that her body is allowed to have at this time. Her last surgery was to find out if she was to have a colostomy bag put in. But instead, another battle was found; Dawns surgeon had to take deep tissue biopsies instead, and another 2 week wait she will have to endure. Through all of this, Dawn has never lost her smile or her sense of humor and continuously tries to work to keep the medical insurance going. But the truth is she's needing extra help and not wanting to ask. So I'm doing what older sisters are suppose to do; taking care of our little sister. Her family will be using this money to help catch up with there everyday bills and other unexpected expenses. This would mean the world to Dawn and her family, any amount is not to small and all prayers would be greatly appreciated.
