My Boy David Foster's Memorial & Personal Time Off

Donation protected
“My name is Don Raber aka Ray Dalton. I’ve created this fundraiser to help defray costs for a Memorial dedicated to my Boy David Foster who we lost unexpectedly 1/9/2021. Any additional funds will help me supplement my lost income while mourning this sudden loss.”

WHAT HAPPENED: The love of my life, my "Superboy" David Foster aka Nick Wood passed away in his sleep 6:36am Saturday morning Jan 9, 2021 in West Hollywood CA. While visiting my home and sleeping in my bed, he took his final breaths next to his husband of 30 years, Frayne, just like he would have wanted it.

Boy David was visiting his dream city of LA with his husband Frayne from their home in Atlanta, GA. Boy David always loved to visit LA as the city gave him peace of mind.

Upon learning of Boy David’s passing I immediately flew home from where I was working to my LA home to mourn our loss alongside Frayne. We cried rivers of tears together, shared many stories, and just held each other physically and emotionally while we remembered our shared love.

Official cause of death is undetermined. However, Boy David's Doctor says most likely it was a ruptured ulcer.

Boy David had a Dr. appt scheduled to address an unexplained sudden weight loss and acid reflux. In the final 5 days of his life, the acid reflux he had appears to have triggered severe hiccups. Unfortunately, his weakened body couldn’t handle the heavy medication needed to treat the severe hiccups.

Our Family Dynamic: Boy David had a primary relationship with his husband Frayne for 30 years. On October 3rd, 2016, Boy David and I began a Daddy & Boy relationship. The three of us were, and still are, a FAMILY.

Frayne gave his 100% support to the relationship Boy David and I had. I would not have been able to have the mindblowingly beautiful relationship I had with Boy David without this support, and I am forever grateful to Frayne for this.

Boy David lived every day with a heart overflowing with love. His constant thoughts were focused on what was best for Frayne and I in our lives. Pure unwavering commitment.

Boy David's realness touched many lives deeply. The outpouring of true love and support from his friends has my mind reeling.

I am humbled and honored, incredibly proud of Boy David's accomplishments. Frayne and I got to see Boy David rise above tragic life circumstances, to live his truest, fullest self, The last 4.5 years were by far David’s happiest, and he truly went out at the top of his game. That means everything.

I miss him so much!

He was my rock.
He never let me “disappear”.
He was my constant no matter what.
He gave me great joy.
Each of us were committed each other "win" in life.
I was his biggest fan. ❤️

MEMORIAL: A Memorial Celebrating Boy David's Life will be held on Sunday May 23, 2021 in Fort Lauderdale FL, Exact Location TBD.

ADDITIONAL DONATIONS: In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing in his name to Lost And Found Youth  , a wonderful Atlanta based organization that David supported, after all Boy David himself was an LGBTQ Youth "on his own" at age 16.

In honor of Boy David’s legacy of a “Truest Fullest” life, I am fully committed to a future that is authentic in all aspects.
