Hi my name is Terri Sprinkle ,
I am married with 3 children, Logan who will be a senior at ETBU , Allison who will be at Texas Tech
to study nursing.. Haley who is in middle school.
Memorial day weekend, we were on our way home from Ft. Worth from our niece's wedding.
My husband was driving and I noticed that he had
a slight cough and having difficlty finishing his sentence with out stopping for a breath. I asked
him if he was okay and he said I'm okay a little tired.
I said when did the cough start he said a couple of
days ago. I asked him if wanted to go to the ER.
he said no if not better in the morning we'll go.
The next morning I noticed that he didnt sleep well
so I said why dont we go to the ER since we are both off. He went to the office because that's just the way
David is dedicated and puts every one else first.
When he got back , We went to the ER. where our lives changed. My wonderful husband had fluid in the right lung I thought maybe a collasped lung or pneumonia.
After blood work, chest x-ray, and CT scans,
they came back and informed us that they thought
Davd had lung cancer and they were going to admit
him for futher evaluaton . He had 3 lung biopsies
1 fluid and 2 tissue. He has a tumor almost the size
of his heart. next to his heart, 4 tumors on his right lung he continues to have fluid in the lung which makes it difficult for him to sleep. We have been to CVTS , ( Cardio vascular thoracic surgeon) , for a second opinion. The Oncologist had a panel review with other doctors to review his case,
The cancer my husband has is on the rare side . Its called Thymoma , He will have Chemo three times
a week ,off 3 weeks for 6-8 months. We both work
full time and my husband has medical insurance benefits, ( thank God), but it wont be enough to pay all of our everyday expenses , He will need medications, x-rays, blood work, office visits and supplies etc. I have used my vacation for the year. I will be the sole
care taker for my husband, We both plan to work but know that The Chemo medications are very poisonous and toxic to the body. Please consider our Medical Fund request . The medical bills have already started coming in,
If It's God will, this will only be tempoary. Prayers will also be accepted.
Thank you all,
Love,
Terri ,David, Logan ,Allison
and Haley Sprinkle
