Dave was my husband. He was a good man, a hard worker, and someone who knew how to do just about anything.
He grew up working on a farm in Ravenna, OH. He drove semi-truck for 38 years and was a self-professed "Jack of All Trades." The truth is he really was. There wasn't anything I knew of that Dave couldn't do, fix, or figure out how to make.
He loved working on cars, and I'm not sure which he enjoyed more riding his motorcycle or tinkering with it. He was a very dedicated member of the Youngstown Based Motorcycle Group - Unity In The Community (U.I.T.C.) Dave wanted to get into photography, was gifted at woodworking, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
In December, after a lovely Thanksgiving, he began struggling with various infections, leading to many hospital visits and stays. Despite these challenges, Dave fought very hard. Ultimately, it is unclear if the infections took a toll or if the cancer had mutated, but he left this world on February 20. It is so sad because I know he wanted to stay.
I am raising funds to provide Dave with a simple service at the graveside chapel and a direct burial in a place that was meaningful to him. Every arrangement and detail is being planned to honor who he was and the life he lived.
Please share your memories of Dave, and know that any donation amount would be deeply appreciated as I try to give him the farewell he deserves. Much Love for all your Support!
