Hi, my name is Daryl.
I need to have knee replacement surgery on both knees. My right knee on June 27th and my left knee on July 18th, both at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. Unfortunately, I will not be able to work during the three month recovery period. I am a 71 year old self employed handyman and do very physically demanding work. I love my work and can’t imagine doing anything else.
Ever since my dear wife passed away two years ago it has been a financial struggle to make ends meet. For the last month I have had such extreme pain in my knees (bone on bone) that I can only work a few hours a day. Beginning June 27th I will be unable to work for about three months depending on my rate of recovery. This fact frightens me as I could lose my house. That is why I am appealing to you, the public, for financial help. It is humbling for me to have to do this but I know of no other way. I thank the LORD every day for the life that He has given me. I pray for your generosity and thank you in advance.
