On December 19th I was in a car accident that almost cost me my life. I went through the most painful and traumatic experience I’ve ever had. I was embarking on a new chapter in my life. Relocating from San Antonio to Colorado, I was starting a promising new job and experience in a state I’ve never been to before. I drove up to visit and secure my future home but during my stay I felt ill. At the time I thought it was only a cold but it turned out to be a high fever and lung infection. As I drove back home, two hours into my drive my body shut down and I lost consciousness. I went of the road into the middle bank of the highway. My car hit the road sign and flipped over, both my precious dog and myself still inside. I thank god my dog was unharmed but he ran out into the wild and was lost for two week. I was taken away and hospitalized for the better part of a week. I am lucky to have survived and to have now found my dog. I am unfortunately left with the financial strain. I hate the idea of putting such a heavy burden on my family so as I recover I picked up a second job on top of my full time career in order to pay as best as I can. It took a lot to set my pride aside and accept that sometimes we need to ask for help. I sincerely hope I am able to reach some of you with this. Even if it’s only a dollar, it would mean the absolute world to me. My heart is heavy at the moment but I hope to push past it all. Thank you.
