**Anything that is made after our goal will become the shows budget and will go to things such as programs, ads, sets, anything related to the show. **
Hello! My name is Ashton and I am a senior at Madison High School.
Before I explain this campaign let me tell you a little about myself.
When I was two years old I was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The doctors said that I wouldn’t make it to Thanksgiving, which was just a week away. I went through numerous tests and blood transfusions and of course, chemotherapy where I lost my hair. Both I and my parents suffered through four long years of yelling and crying and doctors. Thankfully at 3 years old I went into remission and now here I am today!
The show Dani Girl, is about a nine year old girl named Dani, who loses her hair to leukemia. She embarks on a magical journey to get it back. Simultaneously hilarious and heartbreaking, Dani Girl is a tale of life in the face of death, hope in the face of despair, and the indomitable power of the human imagination. Written by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond it is a beautiful show.
With a cast of four people Dani Girl is sure to be a hit when it (hopefully) opens at Madison High School on May 8 and 9.
I say hopefully because we cannot put this show on without your help. The royalties and fees for the rights are a total of $1,350. That is way over what we have budgeted, so we need help to make my dream of directing this show a reality.
Please help bring Dani Girl into reality. It is a show people need to see. A show full of hope and family bonds. It will bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face. Thank you so much!
The cast includes:
Paige Cilluffo – Dani
Neal Going – Raph
Jack Herrin – Marty
Julia Mann – Mother
Directed by Ashton Schaffer
