Back in August, my family and I got the worst news ever, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The man everyone knows by that man that would wait for me at parkland middle or attend every parkland high school football game. He went with from the funniest, happy go lucky guy to someone you can’t even recognize sometimes. He would give the shirt off his back just to make sure everyone was ok. He had a mouth on him but that mouth was funny and made everyone laugh. He’s had to have some surgery’s in the process before starting chemo, which we thought were going to help, The drs told us he must heal from the surgery’s before starting chemo or radiation. During this time we applied time and time again for insurance, which We couldn’t get him approved for, we are still fighting and pushing for it, but he continues to be denied. while in the healing process his cancer began to spread. My worst dream came true, it’s spread to much to start chemo the best decision was For him to be released home on hospice, where he will be spending the rest of his time. I’m losing my hero, my best friend and my protector all at once. We are asking for help for hospital bills that may and have occurred as well funeral costs we are not ready for. Anything you can do, helps. Even if it’s just memories with him I can share on his final days, we just want to make this as peaceful as this can be during this hard time
