Abel and family memorial for Danielle
Donation protected
January 3, 2022
It's a month since I've given you an update on Danielle's condition, sorry about that. But this long journey has been difficult, challenging, emotional, and required such great devotion.
With a heavy heart and words incapable of describing the family's grief, I regret to tell you Danielle has passed away. She passed on January 1, 2022.
Danielle was on the road to recovery and was slowly improving and eventually enough that the hospital deemed her capable of moving to a less serious Acute Rehabilitation Facility. She was then there for a short period of time before her health suddenly worsened and her body would succumb to her weakend state.
Abel wanted to thank everybody for all the prayers and donations you've made previously. This enabled him to be with his wife so much more in these, unknowingly last, important days.
I originally started this fundraiser because I wanted to help my brother somehow. He didn't know what he was going to do without an income, and it was the only thing I could do for him being out of state. And I turned to all of you my family and am so amazed and feel so blessed.
Thank you so much for your time and giving what you did, we appreciate you so much. I will keep you posted when the memorial service and reception will be so anyone who'd like to attend could. If you would still like to donate to Abel, this Gofundme will remain open for some time.
With much love,
Averian-

Hi this is Abel. I wanted to thank everybody for all the prayers and donations you've made. It's helped me tremendously and I wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for all of you. Your help has enabled me to stay in Las Vegas hotels that are not too far from the hospital, which also happen to be the greatest expense of all. I have been able to put gas in my car so I can drive to and from the hotels, and back and forth 2 hours each way to Arizona when necessary.
Danielle is slowly improving which is so great, but more importantly she has been moved out of the Intensive Care unit. The situation with myself being kept from seeing Danielle has also been resolved. Danielle's blood had toxins that needed to be constantly removed and the delirium she's been having is almost gone so this is great news.
So the possibility of Danielle coming home is getting sort of closer. She still has to remain at the hospital for some time, and after that she can be transferred to an Acute Rehabilitation Facility. We're hoping to find one that won't be too far from home in Arizona. Once there, she will continue to receive dialysis, speech therapy, and physical therapy. As of now Danielle still can't talk cause of the trachea tube and has very little strength and energy to move her body.
That is my update to you all and where things currently stand with Danielle's road to recovery. I'm going to see if it's possible to return to work in Arizona maybe 2-3 times a week. And Danielle might be able to get some state aid to help with the expenses of that facility which will be awesome but from what I've been told that is a lengthy process.
I know from the Gofundme it seems like I have the money to pay for so much, but realistically that money is gone. I don't know how things are going to go from here. Averian will be going back home December 1, and I will be on my own once again, without any moral support. I hate having to ask others for help because that means I am not in control of the situation. Well, I haven't been in control of the situation for awhile now and have just been going with the flow. So I will ask for help because it's not for myself, but for my wife.
I've asked one too many times, but please my family, my friends, my loved ones. I need your prayers. I need your help with my finances. Please if there is someone out there that can do something. Please if you are able to donate please donate. I know its hard to give these days, but if you could find a way. I'm praying for a miracle right now. Maybe you can't donate but can share this Gofundme with other family that I am not reaching, please share. No matter how large or small please donate. If you have comps at any hotels please you can help with that. And any donations you make you don't have to give any portion to the website, just put 0% after putting in your donation amount. I know that has been confusing to some. So please whatever you can do, however you can help, all the prayers you all make. God sees the sacrifices we make for others and he doesn't forget. Thank you to all of you my loved ones, for any which way you could help.
I APPRECIATE AND LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
Thank you, Abel-

Hi again this is Averian, the younger brother of Abel. I wanted to give an update to everyone on Danielle's current health status.
Some good news, Danielle is progressingly getting better day by day which is wonderful to see. She's relying less and less on oxygen and her lungs are breathing slowly on their own. Her kidneys however haven't restored to 100% functionality and still requires dialysis 3 times a week. This is due to the fact that Danielle is still dealing with infections that change and require new and different antibiotics constantly. She is ever so slowly gaining her mobility and right now can only turn her head and twitch parts of her body. But she still cannot speak due to the trachea tube needed in her neck.
So there is bad news, now just a few days ago we have encountered a new and troubling issue. Danielle has lost connection with reality and the concept of time. The doctors say this happens when patients are in the hospital for long periods of time and are constantly sedated and cut off from physical engagement of the outside world. She has even now gotten confused and upset with Abel and the nurses say he can't see or talk with her. This makes no sense but because Danielle is in this state of mind they feel they should do what makes her comfortable. This is so damaging and hurtful to Abel not being able to see his own wife. This is being looked into and I will keep you posted.
I have been here with Abel in Vegas for nearly 3 weeks now so we can remain close to the hospital that is handling Danielle's intense illness. He has no family here in Vegas, because he lives in Arizona. His 2 daughters are far away and can only visit from time to time because of their jobs. Our parents are in California, handicapped unable to walk. Danielle's parents also from California, come and stay out here about once a week, but besides all of this he would be alone. That is why I am here, to help Abel with guidance and emotional support.
Now a big problem also. The Gofundme program has been releasing the donations little by little since it began. That was amazing and so so helpful but the funds are depleted and we now have to travel back and forth from here to his house in Arizona, which totals a 4 hour drive.
So now I am asking you with the greatest humility and humbleness if you can help financially please please do. If you have a condo or timeshare, something we could use to stay at temporarily that would be so much appreciated. If you have a church or organization that could provide through channels or donate things that would help with our situation I thank you so much for speaking with them.
I thank you all so much and love you for spending your time reading this and for anything that you could possibly do to help.
Thank you for your prayers,
Sincerely, Averian-

Hello family and friends, this is Averian. For those who don't know me, I'm Abel's younger brother. I've created this Gofundme page in the hopes that we can come together and help Abel and his family.
You see Abel is dealing with a very serious situation. His wife Danielle has developed a sickness called Sepsis. This is a life-threatening condition that basically disables your immune system, reduces blood flow to organs caused by clotting and potential organ failure, and even death.
A short time before the situation became so severe, Danielle went in to have surgery for Gallstones. This was back in July, but since then she returned to the doctor a number of times because she felt so sick but was told nothing was wrong with her. Danielle wasn't improving and Abel decided to call 911 to get her into the hospital. Finally then, they discovered that she did in fact have Sepsis, but by that time the sickness had already progressed.
Danielle's breathing became compromised because the infection first attacked her lungs and so she was put on a respirator, and in turn, put into an induced coma. She is now dealing with near kidney failure and has started dialysis. They are also saying that something is starting to go on with her intestines.
Most currently Danielle has started breathing a little more on her own but she still cannot be taken off the respirator. The dialysis is working a little and she continues to take a number of antibiotics to treat the infections, but she does remain in the induced coma. This seems to be the current treatment to help improve and bring her back to health, but the situation is far from over.
I'm asking all family and friends who can help please do so, these extra funds could help him in so many ways. Those of you who don't really know Abel and his family but feel you want to help please give what you can. Any amount will be very appreciated and it will help them that much more.
Abel currently lives in Fort Mohave, Arizona not far from Bullhead City, but had to travel from there to a hospital in Laughlin to one in Las Vegas. He is staying with a friend who lives nearby but he could use the funds to make his day to day life easier. Maybe a hotel room, for food, travel, gas, bills, his own medication and not to mention having to put his job on hold so his source of income is dramatically limited. When he gets home he will have medical expenses, and so much unexpected dues, including recovery once Danielle gets to leave the hospital. I understand that money can be tight, especially cause were dealing with these crazy days caused by Covid, but I'm gonna reach into my pockets and pull out whatever I find. We could send our prayers also cause they will definitely help and maybe even texting him or a short call to say some encouraging words can lift his spirit.
Time is such a great factor since Abel is dealing with the situation right now, day to day, so please give what you can. I am so concerned about my brother right now, he's dealing with this all alone. He has two daughter who are currently unable to be with him, but are also without their mother. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read this and helping in any which way you can.
God bless you all and thank you.
