I'd like to thank you in advance for all of your help.
I started this fund to help pay for my son’s medical expenses. Daniel will be going through a series of medical procedures starting in July to repair his cleft palate.
For those who may be unfamiliar, a cleft palate is when the roof of the mouth contains an opening into the nose. Daniel was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. He had his first surgery when he was three months old to close the lip and soft palate at the back of the roof of his mouth. When he was three years old he had a second procedure to close the hard palate portion of the roof of his mouth. When he first began talking, Daniel started speech therapy, which he continued to attend until he was six years old. His determination and great progress has allowed him to no longer require speech therapy. .


Daniel is now 8 years old and will start a new phase in his repair treatment.
The first will procedure will be a maxillary expansion in order to expand the palate. Once the maxillary expansion is complete, a bone graft which will be taken from his hip, will be implanted into his gum.
These procedures are estimated to cost from $2500 -$5000 each. This will be an ongoing ordeal for Daniel since he will very likely be needing to use braces into his late teens.

The money that collected will be used to help cover medical expenses. Any additional money will be used to pay for additional upcoming procedures that will follow including braces and other doctor visits. I am most thankful and grateful for any contribution that you could make.
