Dana Serio - Pay it Forward

As an old high school friend of Dana Serio, I would like to give everyone the opportunity to “Pay it Forward”. If there were ever a time or a person deserving of this help, it would be now. It has taken some time to convince her to let me do this, but here is her story…
Dana moved into a new rental house in September 2015. Since she moved in, she became very sick. She went to the doctor’s multiple times. They ran a bunch of tests, but they didn’t find anything. Then her kids started to get bad headaches and nausea, so she looked into things that it could have been from her house (considering they couldn't find anything wrong with Dana). She took it upon herself to get a mold test done from a restoration company. They came in and tested the air inside the home. The test results came back that the air inside her house contained 364,000 spores of mold... which included the deadly black mold. Black mold was the second highest mold found in her home. The restoration company told her to leave immediately. It was the highest they’d ever seen!
Dana had renters insurance, but it doesn’t cover mold. She got in touch with the previous tenants and they confirmed that the landlord knew about the problem... Dana and her girls had to leave all of their belongings in the contaminated house. Thankfully, her mom took them in until she can figure things out.
So, this is where I come in. Dana is a sweetheart. She is and always has been one of the most caring and giving people I have ever known. This is my chance to help her for once!
I have set up this Go Fund me account for anyone that wants to “Pay it Forward” and help out Dana and her girls.
Once she can get back on her feet again, she will need to buy almost everything to live in another home again. Very few things will be able to be salvaged from the contaminated house.
I am hoping to raise enough money for them so it can take some of the stress off her and they can focus on what damage the mold has caused to their health.
