Serving in Rescue Homes in Cambodia

Donation protected

It was just a few years ago when my eyes were opened to the reality of the existence of modern day slavery in various parts of the world.   Then, chillingly, I had to come to terms that this has spread infectiously into my own neighborhoods.  I began praying to the Lord, "Now that I know, what is it that I can do? What is my part?"

I started asking questions.  I volunteered at a fundraiser and participated in sending encouraging messages and prophetic art to survivors, but in my heart I felt like I was called to do more.  I was feeling drawn to be able to touch them in person.

Since then, I've been waiting for God to show me which direction to go and when.   I was recently invited to join a small team to fly to Phnom Penh in Cambodia for 11 days from January 20th to February 1st.

There I will have the opportunity to serve at Esther's House, founded by Mark and Jessica Neitz. It's a family style home designed for girls directly affected by sexual exploitation. They provide a safe home for the girls, medical care, counseling and education as well as job and life skills.

We will also be doing a one day conference for the staff and children at Sak Saum. They rescue, restore and provide rehabilitation for trafficked women and children.
Our team will also be visiting other non-governmental organizations, serving churches and pastors in one of the provinces as well as helping with other needs.

About Cambodia: It is a very poverty-stricken nation which is one reason human trafficking has become so prevalent. Unfortunately, children are often sold into slavery by their own parents for income.

Our team plans on having several fundraisers to sell items at our church within the next few weeks.  We will be working to do our part as much as possible to raise the funds for this trip.

The cost includes airfare, lodging, ground transportation, meals and water filtration.

I will appreciate a donation of any amount to help with the expenses for this trip.  And I especially appreciate prayers as we prepare as well as for covering during our trip and our return.

Thank you so much for reading this message and for considering being a part of supporting these young girls and seeing God bring an end to this injustice.

If you feel led to give, you can give here securely on this website.  Or if you'd like your donation to be tax-deductible, you can make a check payable to Blazing Fire Church and mail it to P.O. OR use  PayPal ‌ Via Blazing Fire Church and add MTC1606 to the comments section.  (This method is also tax-deductible.)

Thank you very, very much!

Love,
Damali :)
