Daisy has been a beloved part of our family since she was just 10 weeks old. This November, she’ll turn 11, and in all those years, she’s filled our lives with laughter, love, and plenty of unforgettable moments. I still remember our first ride home together—she curled up in my winter coat the night before Valentine’s Day and managed to clear the jeep with her tiny but mighty farts. That’s still one of her signature moves, and she always seems to pick the most inopportune times to show off her talent. Daisy is a true character: she loves bacon, mint chocolate chip ice cream (with the chocolate chips picked out, of course), and believes that anything you’re eating is fair game for her, too. She’s a snuggler with zero personal boundaries, always making sure to cuddle with everyone in the house before bedtime. Her snores and dreams are louder than any human I’ve ever met, and she brings joy to every person she meets.

Recently, Daisy injured herself while scratching her face with her freshly cut nails. She’s now on four different medications for pain, swelling, and infection, but her veterinarian says she needs an emergency enucleation surgery to prevent further pain and complications (the removal of her left eye)

. The urgency of her situation has been overwhelming, and we want to do everything possible to make sure she gets the care she needs.
