My name is Daija McElwee and I am in my fourth year of studies at the University of West Georgia (UWG). First, I want to thank you for taking the time to click this link and learn a little more about what it is that I need your help with. At the University of West Georgia, I am a Richard's College of Business (RCOB) student obtaining a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing while also getting a certificate in Advertising.
At UWG I am the current Vice-President for the Student Activities Council (SAC), a student representative for the RCOB Dean's Council for Student Leaders, a peer mentor for the RCOB Leadership Academy, and a University of West Georgia Blue Coat. The University of West Georgia has continuously provided me the opportunity to build my personal brand and network to grow my brand.
As a soon graduating senior, I want to accomplish a few more goals during my college career. One huge goal of mine, before I graduate with my Undergraduate degree, is to study abroad. In March of 2017, I have the opportunity to make this goal become a reality. An eight-day trip to Italy is my trip of choice and with your help, I know that I can make this happen. During this excursion, we will visit Milan, Florence, and Rome. Being able to visit a country such as Italy, will allow me to see what Marketing is like in another country and then compare the two countries. This trip will drive my limits academically and eliminate any implications of self-doubt that I once had. I feel as though studying abroad will not just teach me about other cultures and a world outside of my own, but it will teach me about myself and what I am capable of doing. Immersing myself in a culture other than my own, extends my educational experience in ways unattainable otherwise.
As shown above, I have set a goal of $3,500 to raise by November 20th. The first half, $1,400, of this payment is due by October 10th. The money raised will be used to assist with the initial fees of this trip. Being able to raise even half of this goal, would lessen the financial burden for this trip which would mean a huge deal to me. I would be able to enjoy this trip without the constant thought of money and other monetary objections.
