This fundraiser is for my sweet father, Michael Scott Stevens. He is a devoted husband, loving grandfather, uplifting uncle, caring son, loyal brother, and a generous friend to so many.

 At the end of October, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, glioblastoma. Over the past month, our world has shifted in ways we never imagined. After much evaluation, the doctors have shared that there is no treatment option that would meaningfully help in his case, and they have estimated he has 3–6 months left with us.

After spending time in the hospital, a rehabilitation center, and a skilled nursing facility, my dad has now been graciously accepted into St. Adalaides House, a hospice home that welcomed both him and my mother through their charity program. This has been an incredible blessing for our family. Their kindness has given my parents a safe, peaceful place to spend this chapter together, with my dad receiving around-the-clock comfort and care.

At this stage, our focus is entirely on making him comfortable, creating peaceful days, and cherishing the moments we have left. My dad continues to face everything with strength, humor, and tenderness — the same qualities he has shown throughout his life. Even now, he is teaching us grace.

• Funeral arrangements and end-of-life costs
