Help My Dad Leave Gaza

Hello everyone,

My name is Jarlenis. I have created this fundraiser in the hopes of reuniting my friend Shayma and her family back with their beloved father/grandfather/husband.

Shayma has a message for you all:

-> Less than a month ago, I paid $5500 to an anonymous, but trustworthy operator to evacuate my father. I chose them because they promised faster evacuation, and it’s the same operator who evacuated my cousin in a week. My dad’s name was listed in a relatively short period of time, but due to some issues he wasn’t able to evacuate, and then the Rafah invasion took place and the border closed. Right now the situation is unclear. We are certain that the operator will not refund us since there were no official documents involved and his name was technically listed. Their policy states that if a month has passed since the name is listed and the person doesn’t leave, then there will be no refund.

We hope that the border will open again soon, but we’d like to have the sufficient funds to re-register him if we don’t get refunded.

Additionally, with the prices spiking up in Gaza again, I’ve become unable to afford sending money to my dad in Gaza. So a sum of the donations will go towards his food, rent and meds in Gaza.
