My name is Daniel Hawley Levkoe, and I built Dhawlhouse from scratch as an independent creative studio for systems research, storytelling, media, technology, design, satire, and whatever strange little bastard ideas refuse to stay in their assigned category. It started with me, a laptop, disability income, lived experience, and the increasingly suspicious belief that maybe I should stop waiting for permission and just build the fucking thing. Since then, it has become real: Dhawlhouse is live, PigWerld is public, original media is being produced, CONSULT is being built, and the work keeps expanding.

The goal of this fundraiser is ONE BILLION DOLLARS, muah hahahaha, because this is not a static target for one project or one emergency. It is a direct funding channel for the continued growth of Dhawlhouse. Contributions help pay for research, software, hosting, development, production, equipment, accessibility, administration, publishing, and, most importantly, time to keep building without every new idea having to fight a knife battle with my grocery budget. I am not saying Dhawlhouse currently requires a billion dollars. I am saying there is no meaningful finish line here.

This is not a fundraiser for a hypothetical idea. The work exists. The infrastructure exists. The projects exist. The goal now is to give an independent creative practice enough room to keep compounding into better research, stronger media, more useful tools, and bigger experiments.
