DCA Brazil Missions Trip

Desert Christian Academy is headed to Rio!  On June 6th a team of 20 students and adult leaders will go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to partner with the ministry Restore Brazil for a 10 day missions experience.  Restore Brazil (www.restorebrazil.com) is a church planting, pastoral training and mercy ministry seeking to restore the nation of Brazil through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  One of Restore Brazil's main initiatives is to model Christ's love for the "least of these" by planting churches in the notorious slum areas (Favelas) throughout the country .  The DCA team will partner with one of the churches that have been planted in the slums to help put on a week long outreach to the community.  It is our goal to increase awareness and visibililty of the church in the community through children's and mercy ministries so that more people will ultimately get connected to, saved, and discipled by the local church.  

The team is led by Kirk and Debbee Scott, David Palmer, Tyler Jacobus, Matt and Michelle Martinez.  The students on the team are Cheyenne Arseo, Brie Broyles, Jewel Castro, Tanner Collins, Nate Frahman, Tina Hendricks, Jacob Hushaw, Nash Johnson, Daniela Marquez, Meraiah Martinez, Michael Martinez, Georgie Mathews, Keegan Roberts, and Greg Stark.
