For a few years, my mother Therese, has been struggling with a disease that doctors so far cannot figure out and as a result, have not been able to cure.  It has made her daily life so difficult that a once healthy and vivacious woman who was always out helping others has now been reduced to a shell of her former self. All her life, Therese was known for going out of her way to take care of those around her, even if it came at a cost to herself. Now, our family hopes to find a way to help take care of her.

A few days ago, Therese was set to receive treatment with a specialist after going to her mother's funeral. Unfortunately, the travel from Texas to Georgia took a greater toll on her already fragile and weakened immune system, and she contracted pneumonia. She is now unable to travel back to Texas, and will have to receive her treatment in Georgia.

Due to Therese's condition, she has been incapable of working for about a year. Our family asks that if you are able, to please contribute whatever you can in order to help cover the additional specialized medical costs, as well as the cost it will take for our family to have an extended stay in Georgia. We would not ask if the expenses were more manageable.


Therese has always been an independent, capable, and hardworking woman. She received her Master's degree in Nursing while raising 3 kids and being a loving wife. She is tenacious and a sincere force of nature that we, and many others, have always respected and admired. It truly pains us to see her first confined to her home, hidden away in her bedroom, and now bedridden and in almost constant suffering. Anything that you can give would be accepted with joy and immense gratitude.

We have had the privilege of knowing Therese for a mere 46 years. Please help our family fund the treatment that may allow us to know her for decades more!
