With the donation so far received amounting to GBP 1740.00, we have successfully handed over 5 Oxygen Concentrators to the Baghuada Hospital Madi, Chitwan, Nepal in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Londonderry, Limavady and Coleraine of the Rotary in Ireland District 1160.
Initially, we planned to raise £25,000 to set up a mini–Oxygen Generating Plant and purchase emergency medical equipment for the Baghauda Hospital. A mini–Oxygen Generating Plant is not needed now as they have received enough Oxygen Concentrators and Cylinders. Their present needs are emergency medical equipment like ECG, Defibrillator, Patient Monitors and PPEs.
The Rotary Club of Narayangarh has also received two more requests from the Devghat Municipality, Chitwan & newly established Shivnagar Isolation Centre, Chitwan to support them with the emergency medical equipment and PPEs.
The Devghat Municipality has got 15 entry points to monitor people entering to their Municipality to stop spreading the Covid-19 at community level. They need PPEs for those Health and Security Personnel stationed at these entry points.
The Shivnagar Isolation Centre has 20 beds to save the Covid affected lives.
We need around GBP 7,000.00 urgently to purchase emergency medical equipment and PPEs.
The raised fund (100%) will be transferred to the Rotary Club of Narayangarh, Nepal and they will coordinate with the Madi & Devghat Municipalities, Baghauda Hospital and Shivnagar Isolation Centre to implement the projects
The Rotary Club of Narayangarh, Nepal will closely work together with the Clubs of the Rotary in Ireland District 1160 to raise the required fund.
