Why do unfortunate tragedy’s always happens to the good guys?
Constantine Henry is one of those “good guys”. A single father, home owner and Senior Engineer for the Bed Bath & Beyond Corporation.
Constantine, affectionately known as Count, had a near fatal automobile accident while on his way to work one dark early morning on January 5th 2022. He was immediately induced to a comatose state due to his severe brain injury also known as Diffuse Axonal Injury. He is no longer in a coma and is currently undergoing acute rehabilitation. He sustained extensive injuries and is currently dependent for all aspects of care including mobility, dressing, bathing, and toileting. He also has a tracheotomy to preserve respiratory function and a feeding tube so he can eat.
The good guys who always give and never take. The good guys who always love and show love, yet never receive love the way it’s deserved. The good guys who take care of everyone around them, yet are never taken care of. You know…that good guy who’s smile lights up the room and who’s laugh is infectious. The cool good guy that everyone likes to be around. The good guys who suppress their fears, hurt and pain and go out into the world everyday with a cape on but is never considered a super hero. That diamond in the rough type of good guy. Yeah, I know that good guy. He’s a son a sibling, a father, a cousin, a uncle, a friend, a coworker, and most importantly to me, he’s my baby brother. The process of his healing will be long and hard but he is strong and is up for the challenge.
He is the sole provider to his household. Your contribution will assist the family with his out patient medical care, therapy, reconstruction of his home to accommodate his condition, the overwhelming amount of medical bills, as well as cover his daughters school expenses so that she may graduate from college in the fall.
We all know a good guy. Let’s try to not take them for granted.
Anything you contribute will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to extend a warm thank you in advance.
Best,
Beverly, Phillip, Sybil, Howard, and Christin Henry
