Many of you have seen the news about the 2 vehicle and semi accident. After my sister Connie was cut out of her Jeep, she was ambulanced to Bay Area Hospital, and life flighted to Riverbend Hospital. Her clothes were cut off of her. I wore gloves to retrieve her phone from her bloody shoes and a RN was able to remove glass from where the phone connects to charger. She’s had multiple surgeries and more to come. She’s off the ventilator. Now she’s able to communicate and have visitors. At this time, she cannot weight-bear (walk), and hasn’t even been in wheelchair yet. We’re trying to locate a facility closer to home that can accommodate her needs.
