Community Garden in rural Ukraine

Planting Hope and Innovation in a Ukrainian Village
In the heart of an authentic Ukrainian village (Stina), surrounded by rolling hills and fields rich with history and resilience, a transformative project is taking root: a reproductive and experimental community garden. This garden is not just a physical space but a meeting point for dreams, ideas, and hope.
Why are we doing this?
Now more than ever, Ukrainian communities face unprecedented challenges. Youth who are not in education or employment, families of soldiers navigating uncertain futures, women and girls seeking new opportunities—these are the people at the heart of our initiative.
We aim to create a space that empowers them to learn, grow, and thrive. Not just a garden for cultivating plants but a network for nurturing skills, connections, and inspiration.
What will we do together?
- Grow skills: through gardening, horticultural innovation, and permaculture, we’ll teach practical and sustainable skills.
- Grow plants—and economic opportunities: our nurseries will provide seedlings participants can sell or use to launch small agricultural ventures.
- Grow community: we’ll connect local people with outside experts and motivated youth, fostering a space for mutual exchange and growth.

Our concrete goals
- Install 2 innovative greenhouses for diverse horticultural cultivation (first of all herbs, spices and nightshades).
- Set up beehives (at least 5) to produce local honey and support the ecosystem.
- Support the transformation of the garden into a social enterprise with a website, promotional tools, and legal support.
Main expenditure will be connected to purchase of materials, ground-labor, logistical expenses around the volunteering youth camp, production of beehives from the craftsman, web-design production.
That's how the future greenhouses will look like in the form of the geodome construction:

A garden that inspires hope
This project is not just for today—it’s for the future. A future where the land becomes a means to heal, innovate, and prosper.
Every contribution, big or small, will help build something lasting for generations. Join us on this journey to sow the seeds of change!

The youth and local people developing this Community Gardening initiative will be grateful for your support and kind hearts, and will gladly share their happiness with you. We welcome you to Stina village, Vinnytsia oblast, Ukraine!
