Colton's brain tumor removal journey
Meet Colton, a 9 year old rambunctious, outgoing, and kind boy who loves to spend time with his two sisters and playing hockey with his team. He loves to go camping and fishing. Colton is loved by his school, hockey family, and family. Recently, he has been diagnosed with pediatric brain tumor. As of right now, he cannot finish out his fall hockey season or play in the spring season. Colton is facing a challenging journey but he is a fighter!
The past couple years, Colton has been suffering from migraines that prevented him from attending school or doing daily activities some days. When his prescription medications failed, his pediatrician referred him to a neurologist. From there, his neurologist put him on vitamins as some of the levels were low and also ordered an MRI. After the MRI, a neurosurgeon came in and told us that he has a possible rare Choroid Plexus Papilloma but they are not entirely sure if it is benign or malignant. Colton has to undergo a craniotomy to try to get all of the tumor out. If they are not able to get all of the tumor out with the way it is positioned, then he will have to undergo Chemo and Radiation. This has taken the whole family by surprise. His surgery date is April 15th, 2025. Colton will be in the hospital from 5-7 days depending on how he is doing. His recovery depends so far on how the surgery goes.
We are raising money to help pay for any medical expenses, food, and travel expenses as our family vehicle is not very reliable. It would allow his parents to focus more on Colton's upcoming surgery and recovery. It would make a difference in his fight against the tumor.
Please join us in supporting Colton's journey and his family. Your support will help us in giving him the attention and care he needs to focus on his recovery. Thank you for your kindness, and loving support in Colton's journey.
