Coach Bob Mears quality care givers
Donation protected
Coach Bob Mears has been a coach to 1000's of students for most of his life. He has coached football, swimming & diving, basketball, and girls softball in both high and college arenas. I am sure my brothers would agree he is pretty much coaching everything... al the time, pointing the finger as to where to put something or how to do it. I guess once a coach, always a coach.
Over the years he has touched, empowered, & influenced many lives. From getting scholarships for athletes to taking in kids that were in trouble and led them down a better path and helped them channel their anger into sports.
In December 2014, Coach had a fall, broke his neck and sustained a spinal cord injury. He has been in and out of the hopsital, various rehab facilities, home and back into a skilled nursing facility. He has exhausted his insurance for the skilled nursing facilities and is now having to pay out of pocket.
We would like to bring him home and give him the quality of care he deserves; however, since he is maximum assist and pretty much dependant on others for care, this is extremely costly. ($15,000-$20,000 monthly)
This is where you come in. If Coach Mears has touched your life or the life of someone you love, please donate for him to have the best quality of life during his fourth quarter of the game.
If you don't know Bob, here is some info about him. He played for the then called Boston Patriots. He said he had a cup of coffee with them. He was drafted into the Navy while in College, where he played football (going both ways), basketball, baseball and ran track. He graduated from LaJunta High School, Western State Colordo, and received his Masters in PE.
He coached in Shafter, CA, Simi Valley, CA and finished his career as head football coach and athletic director at Southwestern College for close to 30 years.
He is very proud of his racing family, loves to garden, cook and travel. We would like to give him back a few of these passions, by him being at home to watch Fox Sports One since hospitals do not carry these channels and to watch his garden grow.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you feel moved to do so, donate.
Love and Wholeness!
