2021 has hit our family with an unexpected situation.  On January 27, 2021, Tasha was working from home when someone began banging on the door to our house.  When she opened the door, a man was shouting for her to get out of the house because the roof was on fire.  She was able to get out safely and so was the tenant that was living in the basement, along with his two cats.  We are thankful that everyone is out safe.

The City of Regina Fire Fighters did an amazing job and put the fire out, but with any fire the contents of the house as well as the main parts of the house have been damaged, the water, chemicals and the minus 30 degree weather.   The water that put out the fire travelled from the top floor all the way down to the basement.  The damage is extensive and will impact all areas of the house.

We do have insurance and have a temporary residence that we will stay in while get more information about the house.  They expect that we will be displaced until late 2021. 

For this go fund me we are asking for help to cover some of the unexpected costs that we will incur that are not covered by insurance.  We also want to give our tenant some additional money so he can get back on his feet knowing he did not have tenant insurance.  Consequently, we have a loss of income due to losing the tenant from the suite in the basement.
