My name is Kristie Timberlake and I'm creating this page for the one and only, beautiful, wonderful, most incredible, Claudia Vearling.
Claudia was diagnosed with cancer on 10/23/15. We wanted the best possible hospital, healthcare providers, and treatment available so Claudia will be receiving treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. We feel so lucky to not only have access to this hospital but also to have the support of friends and family that will allow us to be able to move out to Boston during Claudia's treatment.
She will be enduring a strenuous 6 weeks of simultaneous chemotherapy and radiation which will begin 11/12/15. Treatment will be 5 days a week for radiation and long periods of continuous intravenous chemotherapy. We hope that this aggressive course of treatment will provide a cure!
As many of you know, Claudia is a very a compassionate and self-less person. She is also very private and does not like to ask for help. Many people have reached out to show their support for Claudia and asked how they can help - after much discussion (and convincing) Claudia has agreed that the best way to help would be through financial assistance.
Luckily Claudia has great insurance that allows her to seek care in Boston, however her co-pays will be quite costly. We are hoping to raise money to cover the cost of her co-pays, prescriptions (for the terrible nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite and pain she is likely to experience), cancer fighting foods, transportation, time away from work, and other living expenses.
Any donation amount is much appreciated. Having financial support will certainly help reduce some of the stress Claudia is under. Please spread the word and keep Claudia in your thoughts. Thank you.
